Eastern Illinois Pony League All
StarsWin the
north zone regional division title.
Eastern Illinois is heading to Bay
City, Mich., for the north zone tournament. Eastern will begin
pool play and will compete at 6 p.m. Thursday, July 29, 2010, 2:30
p.m. Friday and at noon Saturday. After those games the top two
teams from each pool (there are two pools with four teams in each
pool) will play in a single-elimination tournament, which is
scheduled to begin Sunday. The Eastern Illinois Team is composed of
All Stars from Chebanse, Clifton, Ashkum, Watseka, Iroquois West,
Cissna Park, and Milford/Sheldon pony league teams. Local players
include: Luc Blume, Chris Garcia, Noah Frerichs, Corey Gifford, and
Cory Steinhart!

Scout Planning Meeting
is Sunday, August 1, 2010 at 1pm at the Chebanse Civic Center.
Everyone is welcome! Please bring a snack to share. Come join us for all
the fun!

Memorial Park Memberships are still available: For

697-2652. The park is located North-east of the Village and
offers Swimming, Fishing, Picnicking, and other family fun. 1366
West 7000 South Road. The park is overseen by the Chebanse
Recreation Center. The Park is open daily from May to

Young at Heart
Has meetings each month: They play cards on the second Tuesday, and
on the fourth Tuesday they play Bingo. All meetings are at the
Chebanse Community Building, 185 S. Chestnut St. For contact

Chebanse History Rooms Now Open
The History Rooms at the Chebanse Civic
Center will be open to the public on the third Monday of each month!
They will be open at 1:30, but will only stay open if there are
people interested. For more information contact Dorla Cooper at
815-697-2288.
Fair Oaks Dairy is located just 34 miles east of Chebanse. It
is an educational but fun experience for all ages. They give a tour
of a modern day dairy farm and have an entire barn full of
